1. BETA PHASE DISCLAIMER

Welcome to the BringItHome Beta. Think of this beta phase like the learner sign on a vehicle—BringItHome is already on the road and delivering value, but we're still learning, improving, and refining the experience with every mile.

During this period, you may occasionally encounter bugs, missing products, or features that are still being developed. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we continue to expand and improve the platform.

Most importantly, we're building BringItHome for you. Your feedback, suggestions, and ideas play a vital role in shaping the platform as we move toward full operational status. By using the platform during this beta phase, you acknowledge these conditions and agree that your feedback may be used to improve our services without any obligation or compensation to you.

2. ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS

By creating an account or submitting a shopping list on BringItHome ("Platform", "we", "us"), you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. You must be at least 18 years old to use this platform.

3. NATURE OF SERVICE

BringItHome connects you with Freelance Shoppers and Market Managers operating in Nigerian public markets. We are solely an intermediary technology platform and escrow agent — we do not own, stock, retail, or guarantee any product sold through the platform. Your purchase contract is strictly with the Seller whose offer you accept, not with BringItHome.

3.1 Public Market Operations

  • No product guarantees: Item quality, ripeness, and availability are subject to conditions in open Nigerian public markets on the day of purchase. By accepting an offer, you explicitly waive rights to claim refunds for subjective quality variations under the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Act (FCCPA), acknowledging the unstructured and perishable nature of public market goods.
  • Zero Refund and Zero Return Policy: BringItHome operates a strict zero refund and zero return policy. Prices and items are locked at the point of the accepted offer. By accepting an offer, you assume all risks related to subjective quality variations. There are absolutely no refunds or returns for public market purchases.

4. FREELANCE SHOPPER RELATIONSHIP

Freelance Shoppers are independent contractors, not employees of BringItHome. Your procurement contract is directly with the Seller whose offer you accept. BringItHome acts solely as the escrow agent for the payment.

5. PAYMENT, FEES & ESCROW

Payments are processed by Paystack (RC 1359900).

  • Service Charge: A platform service charge (displayed at checkout) is added to your order total. This charge covers all payment processing fees (PSP). The Seller receives 100% of the price they quoted.
  • Escrow Mechanics: Your payment is held in a secure escrow account managed by Paystack from the moment you pay. Funds are strictly withheld from the Seller until you explicitly confirm delivery using the 6-digit delivery code, or until the formal dispute window has lapsed without issue.
  • Delivery Confirmation & Fund Release: The rider will provide a 6-digit code upon arrival. Entering this code confirms successful delivery, waives further liability for missing items, and irrevocably authorizes the release of escrowed funds to the Seller's bank account.
  • Unreachable Buyer: If your rider cannot reach you at the delivery address, the Seller may trigger an "Unreachable Warning". You will receive an urgent in-app notification with a limited response window (as displayed in the app at the time of the warning) to confirm your availability. If you repeatedly fail to respond after the maximum configured number of warnings, the delivery will be automatically escalated to DISPUTED status, which may result in forfeiture of escrowed funds following admin review.

6. DATA PRIVACY (NDPA 2023)

We collect only the information necessary to fulfill your delivery, in compliance with the Nigeria Data Protection Act (NDPA) 2023. Your name, delivery address, and phone number are securely shared with the assigned Seller and their dispatch Rider strictly for the purpose of completing your order. Please read our full Privacy Policy for complete details.

7. DISPUTES AND REPORTING

You have a dispute window after delivery confirmation to report issues. During this window, the final release of funds to the Seller is paused.

  • Disputes must be raised on an item-by-item basis using the platform's Dispute Wizard.
  • Items explicitly marked as "Accepted" during the dispute process are final and cannot be disputed later.
  • Photographic evidence is strictly required for any item marked as "Disputed".
  • If verified items are missing or were out of stock, funds for those specific items will be credited to your BringItHome internal wallet.
  • Other refunds are only available in exceptional circumstances at BringItHome's absolute discretion. Please see our full Dispute & Refund Policy for complete details.

8. ACCOUNT SUSPENSION & TERMINATION

  • By You: You may request account closure by contacting support@bringithome.ng . Any active orders must be resolved before closure.
  • By BringItHome: We reserve the right to suspend or permanently terminate your account if you fraudulently dispute orders, abuse the delivery code system, or otherwise violate these Terms.
  • Effect: On termination for fraud, wallet balances may be forfeited. In other cases, any remaining wallet balance will be addressed within 30 days.

9. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

To the fullest extent permitted by Nigerian law, BringItHome's total liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the service charge you paid on the specific transaction giving rise to the claim. BringItHome is not liable for the acts or omissions of any Shopper, Manager, or Rider, for market-driven quality variations, or for any indirect or consequential loss. Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by BringItHome's gross negligence.

10. GOVERNING LAW

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any dispute shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Delta State, Nigeria .

For any questions about these Terms, contact legal@bringithome.ng .
